1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using HyreMe (hyremeapp.com and its subdomains), you confirm that you:
- Are at least 16 years of age
- Have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions
- Have read and agree to our Privacy Policy
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and HyreMe ("we," "us," "our").
2 Description of Services
HyreMe is an AI-assisted job application platform that allows users to:
- Upload and manage their professional resume (PDF or DOCX)
- Build and enhance a job-hunting profile
- Receive AI-powered ATS scoring and multi-dimensional resume analysis
- Rewrite and optimise their resume for specific job postings
- Generate tailored CVs and cover letters for individual applications
- Analyse job match fit against available listings
AI Functionality (BYOAI): AI-powered features within HyreMe require you to connect your own third-party LLM API key. No AI usage credits are included with any subscription tier unless explicitly stated. HyreMe is not responsible for costs incurred through your use of third-party LLM APIs.
3 User Accounts
- Registration: You must create an account to use most features. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration.
- Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately via the contact form if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One account per user: You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or access restrictions.
- Account termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent behaviour, or misuse the platform.
4 Subscriptions and Payments
- Subscription tiers: HyreMe offers a Free tier and a Pro tier at $16.99/month. Details of each tier, including features and usage limits, are available on the pricing page.
- Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
- Free tier: The free tier is provided at no cost and is subject to usage limitations as described on the pricing page. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free tier at any time with reasonable notice.
- Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period.
- Refunds: All payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law or at our sole discretion.
- Enterprise plans: Custom enterprise arrangements are available. Contact us via the contact form for details.
5 Bring Your Own AI Key (BYOAI)
AI-powered features within HyreMe require you to connect a third-party LLM API key from a provider of your choice (such as Google AI Studio, Groq, OpenRouter, Cerebras, Hugging Face, Cloudflare Workers AI, Mistral AI, or GitHub Models).
By connecting an API key, you:
- Confirm you have the right to use that API key and comply with the third-party provider's terms of service
- Acknowledge that API usage costs are your sole responsibility and are billed directly by the third-party provider
- Understand that HyreMe is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any third-party LLM provider
- Accept that the quality, accuracy, and availability of AI outputs depend on the third-party provider and may vary
We store your API key in AES-256 encrypted form and use it only to fulfil your in-app AI requests. We do not share your API key with any other party and we do not switch or substitute your chosen provider without your action.
6 Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use HyreMe to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Upload or submit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent — including fabricating work experience in AI-generated resumes
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform without our written consent
- Upload malware, viruses, or any malicious code
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the platform to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Circumvent subscription limits through technical means
We reserve the right to investigate and take action, including account termination and legal action, against any violation of this section.
7 Intellectual Property
- Our IP: All content, branding, design, software, algorithms, and features of HyreMe are owned by or licensed to HyreMe and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
- Your content: You retain ownership of the content you upload to the platform (resumes, documents, job descriptions, etc.). By uploading content, you grant HyreMe a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process and store your content solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you.
- AI-generated content: Tailored CVs, cover letters, and profile enhancements generated by AI features are provided for your personal use. While we believe these outputs are original, we make no warranty regarding their intellectual property status, as AI outputs may occasionally resemble other sources. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before submitting it to employers.
8 Disclaimers
- No guarantee of results: HyreMe provides tools and analysis to improve your job application process. We do not guarantee that using our platform will result in job interviews, job offers, or employment. Results depend on many factors outside our control.
- AI accuracy: AI-generated outputs (ATS scores, profile suggestions, tailored resumes, cover letters) are tools to assist you, not professional career advice. You should review all AI-generated content before submitting it to employers. We are not responsible for errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI outputs.
- Service availability: We strive to maintain high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime beyond our control.
- Third-party services: We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third-party services, including LLM API providers.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
9 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HYREME AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY: INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES; DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT; COSTS INCURRED THROUGH THIRD-PARTY LLM API USAGE; OR UNAUTHORISED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA WHERE REASONABLE SECURITY MEASURES WERE IN PLACE.
In no event shall HyreMe's total liability to you exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to HyreMe in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) CAD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
10 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HyreMe and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of the platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- Content you upload or submit to the platform
11 Termination
- By you: You may close your account at any time through your account settings. Upon closure, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we discontinue the service.
- Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification — shall continue to apply.
12 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation between the parties. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, under the rules of the ADR Institute of Canada, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
13 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Effective Date."
Continued use of the platform after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
14 Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HyreMe regarding your use of the platform.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
- Language: These Terms are written in English. In the event of a conflict between an English version and a translated version, the English version shall prevail.
